We love the Child's Geography series from Master Books. The illustrations make you feel like you are exploring the places described in the text. Having recipes to cook to provide tangible experiences through learning appeals to all ages and encourage children to read and cook! The activities capture the attention of all of my kids, and I have learned right along with them! Highly recommend this book in this great series!
Go exploring together - from your own home!
Review by JoyfulMommy
This book is a combination of stories, fun activities, recipes, maps, and amazing pictures, all rolled into one easy-to-use textbook with a schedule in the front and discussion points and worksheets throughout. The richly descriptive writing style, combined with brilliant photos, makes us feel like we are right there touring with the author, while the history, geography, and culture of each area are presented in an engaging and interesting way. Biblical worldview is again a strong suit - I appreciate the clarification and explanation given about the difference between forced Christianity for social or political purposes versus a true relationship with Christ. This book offers a fun way to embark on a journey to faraway lands from the convenience of our own home with multiple ages and abilities, making special memories along the way!
Geography with a Biblical Worldview!
Review by Crystal
We have used and loved this series for a few years now and were so excited to see this new volume revised and released! Explore Viking Realms contains all the pieces that we love about this curriculum – the beautiful pictures (and lots of them!), conversational text, a variety of engaging activities, and it only requires 3 days per week! This is an open and go curriculum and easily fits into our school day. Each lesson provides opportunities to learn more about different regions, the history, the people, and the culture, all taught from a Biblical worldview. We look forward to geography because of this curriculum!
A wonderful final revision for the set!
Review by Sara
My family has absolutely LOVED the MB revisions of A Childs Geography set. Once the final volume was released we couldn’t wait to thumb through it. This volume of course has beautiful colors, the fun conversation tone to keep kiddos engaged and the same 3 days a week schedule you would be used to from previous versions. Each of these books have an exciting topic and my kids have enjoyed every single one. They love the activities within each chapter, the recipes that go along with the countries and mom can be excited that they are also fitting in map work and fact sheets to keep up with any curriculum requirements. I highly recommend this book along with the others in the series-I mean who doesn’t want to learn about vikings from a biblical worldview!?

Its well-organized structure and user-friendly format make it ideal for homeschooling or complementing traditional education. The hands-on projects and interactive features captivate students, ensuring they retain knowledge while having fun. So much fun!
Review by Dustie
This geography series is so much fun, and it ignites a love of learning with its engaging content. This course takes the student on a learning adventure in the world of Vikings in Northern Europe. My family enjoys getting to explore places that we may not be familiar with, learning about the people, lands, and cultures over the years. This series really helps bring these places and stories to life for them.
Some of the unique features are the Love Your Neighbor section and the Reflections. These sections encourage the student in his or her walk with God and consideration of others. Including these really does inspire some deep discussions.
My children also love the recipe component of the Child’s Geography series. The hands-on experience really makes what they’re learning memorable. Some of the recipes have been so good that we’ve made them multiple times.
Like other MB courses, the schedule, supply list, objectives, and answer guide are all included and well-organized. The activities are fun, but they’re not just busy work. They help reinforce the content. There are also colorful photos and maps throughout the text. The supply list for activities and recipes is included in the front of the book, and everything is easy to obtain.
Overall, this is my favorite geography series. My kids and I have learned so much from it.
