A Charlotte Mason Inspired Journey Through American History!

History comes alive in the stories and adventures of explorers and pioneers who saw in America the chance to live a dream—to freely worship God, to have a chance to own land, and search for wealth and opportunities.

In America’s Story 1, your student will:

  • Learn about those who lived & thrived in the Americas first
  • Meet the Christian Viking who accidentally discovered America around 1000 A.D.
  • Become acquainted with the many explorers and their amazing tales of the Americas
  • Discover how simple words were used to powerfully shape the course of history
  • Follow along through the Revolutionary War and watch as the Constitution of the United States of America is drafted
  • Tell of the triumphs, hardships, mistakes, and victories that together formed the nation we now know
  • and so much more!

Exciting, Interactive Stories

O’Dell’s lively storytelling style ensures history comes alive in an exciting way! Through engaging narrative, O’Dell interacts with students and draws them in to imagine the adventures, hardships, failures, and triumphs of the incredible characters who shaped American history.

To complete this course, your student will also need a copy of the America’s Story 1 Teacher Guide. The America’s Story 1 Timeline Pack is a suggested, optional resource.

We love listening to this in the car - even for my children who are well past this curriculum, it is great review!
Love!
Review by FaithMom
We have really enjoyed listening to this audio book, especially while riding in the car to/from our community groups. It certainly makes learning on the go much easier. Will definitely be buying the others to listen to.
Great for family learning
Review by Megan
Our whole family gathers in the living room to listen to the audio book. The kids follow along in the textbook and look at the pictures, and my husband and I just listen. I appreciate being able to save my voice, and I imagine the kids appreciate listening to a voice other than mine!
An absolute must!
Review by Shay
We absolutely love having an audio version of the history book available. It makes it so much more enjoyable for both teacher and student. I can let my child listen and follow along independently while I work on something else.
Used in the car
Review by Ashley
We enjoyed reinforcing the reading mom did out loud on car trips. I love reading things to my kids but sometimes it's nice to have it read again and hear the authors emphasize things differently than when I read.
Great audio!
Review by Beth
My kids love audiobooks, so I knew this would be a hit for them! I have two different grades doing America's Story together, so this is a helpful way for them to share the book and look at the pictures while Angela reads.
Helpful addition to the book
Review by Ashley
My daughter absolutely loves the audiobook, it allows her to listen and follow along on her own, which allows me to be able to help my other children! It's an excellent resource for audio learners or busy moms of multiple children!

Great addition to the book

We got this to use on days we are in the car. So we didn't use it with every lesson. LOVE this extra resource!
