Overview

Even the youngest believers need a solid grasp of Christian doctrine just as much as adults do. The most foundational teachings of the Christian faith are presented in the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers series on a level that preschool and elementary school-age children can understand.

The Trinity teaches the Christian doctrine that there is one God who exists as three persons — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This teaching is important for children to understand because our ideas about God affect every area of our lives.

In simple but precise language, the book teaches God-centered theology. Featuring charming illustrations, The Trinity makes for a fun but educational read.

  • Part of a series of age-appropriate books that teach small children about essential Christian theology
  • Provides children a firm foundation in God's timeless truth
  • Works well as a text for homeschooling, Sunday schools, Christian schools, or family devotional time

My 7 year old read it and begin crying. He could understand it fully without having to ask me what it meant. Love it!

This little book really helped to explain The Trinity. I wish it wasn't so choppy but otherwise great!
The Characters Hold Childrens' Attention
Review by Rachael
Angel is my older daughter's favorite character in this series. Joey Allen did and excellent job wrapping Biblical truths into a children's story book!
Pairs great for the lessons on the Trinity in Where Faith Grows!
Review by EA
I am using this with the Where Faith Grows Level 1. You read a portion from the book once every 2 weeks, until its finished, then move on to another Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers.
My son is able to read it and looks forward to that particular day when its his turn to grab the little book!
This pairs really well with the lessons on the Trinity. Its a hard concept to explain to a 6 year old and I think they do a really good job!
Great for anyone!

I feel like these books are so great for anyone in any place of their walk with God. Adults new to the faith should read these!
A Simple, Yet Detailed Introduction to the Holy Trinity for Children
Review by Kelly Ann
I really enjoy the "Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers" series, because each book offers a simple, yet detailed introduction to core components of being a faithful Christian. "The Trinity" provides children with a clear, age-appropriate understanding of what the Holy Trinity is. This can very confusing to children (even some adults), so I especially appreciate that the message is offered in simple, age-appropriate text, while also being quite detailed, so it not only provides a good explanation for younger children, but doesn't water things down at the same time.
wonderful
Review by Yulia
Very gentle explanation of the trinity for the youngsters. Easy to understand and to the point. It is presented in a fun way of a character talking directly to the child (or reader, listener). My kids love this and other books from The Big Thoughts For Little Thinkers series.
Not an easy topic, but they totally nailed it!
Review by Ashley
Easily one of the hardest concepts to explain and understand in the Bible, but it’s so well done. It’s very clear and helpful!
For those tough questions...
Review by Dustie
We've all had that moment when our kid asks us something like, "what is the Trinity?" As adults, we can have a difficult time putting it into words and explaining these very important topics to our curious children in a way they can understand. This book is really cute. It is small enough for little hands. It gives a good, basic understanding of the Trinity and of salvation. Now I want to get the rest of the set for my little ones.
