Easy read
Review by Julie
I’ve read many books on biblical worldview and apologetics, I found this book to be an easy read and great for those beginning to understand worldview and culture. She gives basic definitions for different worldviews and buzzwords we hear in our culture today. I didn’t agree with some of her statements in the book but overall it was informative on culture and how to equip yourself for conversations with your older elementary and up kids.
A Much-Needed Tool for parents!
Review by Michelle C.
To be honest, when I first started reading Christ Over Culture, I thought it was just another book on the culture war that we as Christian parents are fighting. Being someone who grew up in church and in a Christian home, I felt like the first few chapters were familiar in content. While continuing this book, I was expecting to read more of what I’ve already read in Christian culture books. Boy was I wrong!

A few chapters in, the book very quickly became a reference book, parent guide, and cultural dictionary all rolled into one. This little book is like a crash course on the postmodern culture for Christian parents. It is packed full of terms, ideologies and definitions that we need to be prepared to teach our kids. The author discusses various facets of postmodernism and how those can affect our children. She then leads us in ways to counteract those ideas with Biblical truth.

I would gladly hand this book to someone who is overwhelmed by everything that is going on in our culture today. The chapters are short, and the format is appealing with subtitles, bullet points and lists. The author brings truth and encouragement to every chapter, and I naturally wanted to keep reading. I am so thankful to now have a book from a Biblical worldview that I can refer to when I need reminding of postmodern ideologies and how to prepare my kids to stand for Christ in the midst of them.
Helpful book for parents!
Review by SB
Christ Over Culture is a useful book that helps prepare us to respond to the many issues we find in today’s culture. I appreciated the way the author educated about what the various issues are, including terminology, and provided suggestions of how to prepare our children to face these issues. The glossary and index at the back of the book are helpful as well.

Very Good
Review by HeaTher
This is a book I wanted to read for the sake of my kids. It is a very strange world they are growing up in. I am pleased by what I took away from this reading: loads of information that makes it make sense, a lot of encouragement, and an armouring Biblical Worldview. I started reading and couldn’t put it down! If you have kids of any age this is an invaluable resource.
A must read for Christian parents
Review by Michelle
Parents who are aiming to raise spiritually sound children in a world full of "exceptions", "modifications" and "adaptation" need to read this book. We raise children in an environment that feeds them ideas that clash with the bible and encourages them to defy their roots to become "nicer" people more accepting of the common norm. We are called to disciple them to distinguish between culturally acceptable and biblically sound.
A must read for parents, or even those sharing the Gospel
Review by Barbara D
I originally bought this book for a book club not knowing what to expect, but as a mom who wants to build up her kids a the unshakable rock of Christ I am glad I bought this book. Not only is it informative on what is going on in the current culture, but how we got here, and how to help our kids. It's not a time to bury our heads in the sand and hope the culture passes us over, but to be intentional in teaching our kids in who God is and to teach our kids who He says they are. The author gives many tips how for us as parents to help our kids and helps us as adults know what we are teaching our kids for.
It is also effective for those in sharing the gospel at this time as the author goes into the definitions of some of the same terminology we use but has different meanings.
Once I opened the book and started reading, I couldn't stop!
This book is also part of a morning basket and pairs really well with the other books in the collection.
Amazing for Parents!

A fantastic study that focuses on how parents can disciple to their children and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in a world where sin seems to be the “new normal”.
Equipping Parents
Review by JoyfulMommy
To concerned Christian parents, it is easy to see that the way our culture is going is not in line with, and is actually opposed to, the Word of God. We want to equip our children to stand firmly and boldly on the Truth. But how do we practically do that? As the author states, “we must ground them in biblical truth and also teach them the world’s perspective so they can discern what is from God.”

Presenting the history, implications, and reality of various cultural movements including feminism, critical race theory, LGBTQ+, and others, the author equips us as parents with an understanding of current secular ideologies and their terms so we are prepared to engage our children in conversations about the culture they’re growing up in (not to mention interacting with people steeped in this worldview ourselves). Knowing the terms is key because a lot of the same words are used between the biblical worldview and the postmodern ideologies - including within the progressive “Christian” church - but with an entirely different meaning. Because of details regarding sensitive topics, I recommend this as a book for parents to read through themselves, and then discuss the topics at their discretion with their children. I am grateful to have read this and think it is a very helpful resource for parents.
A critical tool for parents and grandparents of the next generation of Christian warriors
Review by Karen
As an older woman who raised my children during the 70's and 80's, the challenges faced by today's parents are frankly frightening. Although I am aware of the changes in belief systems and the lead cultural worldviews have taken in society and the churches, I really had no idea how serious the issue has become. I don't have grandchildren, but I intend to buy several cases of this book and hand it out to every young family I know. Andrea's no nonsense approach to the challenges of raising Christian children in today's culture, as well as biblical methods of dealing with it were so refreshing. With the compromise of biblical values I am seeing in many of the churches today, I was thankful to see a book that addresses the challenges head on. Andrea says the hard part out loud and gives practical steps to raise strong, Christian warriors. This is an excellent resource for parents and grandparents alike to educate, encourage and equip the next generation with biblical truth and solutions to the challenges facing them. I also appreciated her evangelist approach to equipping our children to come alongside and minister to their friends who may be struggling. The fight is real. We need the right weapons. And this book should be in your arsenal.
