Interesting and unique resource
Review byAudrey525
This book is colorful and easy to read. It’s not overwhelming or long and I could see pulling it out multiple times through the years. It’s a topic that seems to fascinate some kids and it’s great to have a resource this readable. I would say it’s just right for upper elementary. The pictures have a somewhat younger feel to them for middle school, but the information is useful if they haven’t been exposed to the topic much yet. I would definitely have this available on the shelf as young as 3rd grade, and read more in depth at 5th or 6th grade.

Great for kids
Review byFun read
This is such a wonderfully written book. My kids have had countless questions for me about DNA and this book has been a wonderful resource to have to help explain what DNA is, why it is important and the purpose behind it.
I love that the author weaves Scripture in. With all the issues going on today in the world over male and female this book helps explain how we are each uniquely created by God and that our DNA cannot be changed.
The pictures in the book are vibrant and sure to catch the eye of younger kids. This definitely a great book to have in anyone’s library to help kids understand in simple terms how important our DNA is and wonderfully created we are by our Father God.

What a cool book for middle schoolers! This is a detailed guide on DNA from a biblical worldview. It is written by a forensic scientist, who does a fantastic job explaining a complex subject in a way that is easy to understand. The colors, photos, and graphics help make this an engaging little book. I think this would be a fun addition to any of the life science courses.

Quick and easy read
Review byLacee C
This is great for upper elementary students. It's a quick read that would be great for a morning basket and would help facilitate additional conversations. The book has some great vocabulary and analogies. The images are helpful for understanding the material. There are verses throughout that backs up the text.

Great for older kids
Review byYulia
DNA, God, & You! is a beautiful book. It explains DNA in the Biblical and scientific way. Kids learn a lot of great information presented, for the most part, in an easy to understand language and beautiful precise pictures or drawings. The author uses some big scientific words for kids to learn, and she explains them right away, so the kids can relate the information to the visual examples. It is great, but, in my opinion, this book would be most understandable by the kids from 8+ years old.
I am happy there are more books like this which explain difficult to understand scientific concepts on the level of a child, but also that they are supported by the Bible. I highly recommend this book!

Review from a 5th grader
Review byJoyfulMommy
My 5th grade daughter enjoyed reading this book. Here's a review from her:
Before I read this book, I had heard about DNA but I understand much better what it is now. It is like the special programming that God puts into every living thing that makes each one unique! I like all the pictures, especially the pictures of stuff under a microscope! I also like how the pages are designed with not too much to read on each one. And I also really like how they explain what each Bible verse means when they put them in. The rhymes are fun to read, and then there is more to read about what the rhyme talked about. It’s a great book to read if you want to understand more about DNA and how God makes each thing unique!

Excellent
Review byBecky V.
I grabbed this book to go through with my daughter who is currently in fifth grade. We have been going through many short book studies about the body and I thought this one would fit right in!
It is a short book, coming in at only 48 pages total. The layout is so fun & perfect to use as a unit study. It’s hard to find age-appropriate books that talk of the body with a biblical perspective, and this is just that! This has been the perfect book to study the topic of DNA alongside the Bible. DNA can be a confusing topic to study, but this book makes it fun and easy to learn about. I definitely recommend it as a book to own!

This book is small but impactful
Review byLaurie
The page count is 48, and reading is relatively fast due to lots of pictures and images per page. My kids (middle school to high school) and I are doing this as a read-out-loud during our start to school in the morning. This is a fantastic way to use this book due to the conversations that arise on topics like evolution/creation, when life begins, chromosomes, and what about Adam and Eve? We are on track to finish this book in about a week. Regarding the price, this is an excellent buy.
