Nice reference
Review byHeather
I used this with my 3rd grader and 5th grader this year. I like to use the Teacher’s Guide more as a reference than something we follow exactly. But, that’s what I love about Masterbooks—being able to easily adapt the provided material to what works for my family. For us that meant reading through the books as read-a-louds and then just doing the worksheets or activities we were interested in. My kids enjoyed coloring the flags, but we just had our own discussion based on questions they had and didn’t use the question worksheets in the Teacher’s Guide.

Unbelievably Easy
Review byKrystal
The lessons are short and fun, the food is delicious and fun. Honestly, we can often turn three days into one lesson. We read the passage and they fill out the work sheet. Then we make the international recipe for snack or dinner. It has freed up our schedule and made it so flexible.

Great

We are currently only using this for the recipes because my son is only in Kindergarten, but I am looking forward to this in a few years.

Largely unused
Review bySarah
We weren't interested in making recipes to go along with the locations. If you are, the teacher guide would be helpful. The review questions for each location did not represent the information that I thought was important to review and remember. A lot of it was recall of words in the different languages. I wanted my children to have exposure to other languages but didn't feel they should try to memorize and recall the words. We did not use the review sheets, but instead just talked through what I wanted to review. We did use the coloring pages for each flag that goes with the yellow book. That made flag study easier and I didn't have to hunt for coloring pages myself. If an online resource was added with videos of native speakers saying the words and using them in a sentence, that would be invaluable! I tried to hunt for samples but it became too time-consuming.

Easy. Useful. Loved It!
Review byKristina
Once again Master Books has provided a Teacher's Guide that is easy to use as is or adapt to our needs. We found the schedule and worksheets to be easy to follow, understand, and complete. They were a great aid in helping to make sure my son was comprehending the material he was learning in Geography & Cultures.
It is so great to be able to give my son a worksheet and know that he is going to be able to understand what he is being asked.
I highly recommend the Teacher's Guide.
Thank you to the author and Master Books!
