Ignited an Interest in Astronomy
Review by Michelle
My kids never showed an interest in astronomy until we started reading this book together. It has so much great information that's presented in an engaging way. My kids love it, and so do mom and dad!

The books from this series are so fascinating! Kids love them and adults too! Love to leave them around the house and kids pick them up and enjoy learning without knowing it!!!

So very excited to add this to our survey of astronomy curriculum. Excellent, very interesting. A huge plus if you're an astronomy fanatic.
Great Astronomy Book
Review by Belle
Astronomy is a favorite subject in our homeschool. We have been studying astronomy since my son was in first grade. He was very excited to add this book to our collection. It really is a great book with lots of great information. There are questions at the end of each chapter and an “Explore More” section at the back of the book for each chapter. There is also a “Whole Book Review”at the end. Great pictures but they are in black and white.

Great add on book
Review by Pamela
We are doing an astronomy class and used this book as an add on to give him some more. He loved this book so much and was so glad that I added it. I liked that it had questions at the end of each chapter to help him with what he had read. We loved this book because our family loves astronomy.
Great book
Review by Tracy
I actually purchased this book for myself as I love to study astronomy and I was not disappointed. My 10 year old son, who also enjoys astronomy, enjoys flipping through it as well. Most of the concepts are above his head yet, but he, too, has learned from this book. I like the review questions at the end of the chapters. Very refreshing to read an astronomy book from a Creationist viewpoint.
great for an add-on
Review by Kevin
I bought this book to add to the Introduction to Astronomy curriculum as we are going to finish that course before the end of our school year. Somehow I missed that this book is actually a text book and workbook combined. There are questions for review at the end of each chapter. The chapters are a little long to read and understand in one sitting, but as there is no schedule for this book, the chapters could easily be divided. This book could be tailored to a younger student (upper elementary) or to an older student (younger high school) with just the suggested research at the end of the chapters. I don't think it would stand alone for high school credit, but otherwise this is a great book for astronomy. It would be perfect if it were in color and the same cost!
Great for my freshman
Review by Andrena
My daughter loves all things astronomy. This has been the perfect book to add to our collection. I love how there are questions integrated into the book.
Solid Astronomy course that can be done independently
Review by Lisa-lou
My 9th grade son used this - I needed a science that he could do independently. This fit the bill, and as a bonus, he never complained about doing it!
It is pretty straightforward - read the material and answer the review questions at the end. I had him answer in a separate spiral notebook.
You can just use it as a reader, answer the chapter questions, assign extra reading or writing to go along with the chapter, and there are "Explore More" options for students wanting to dig deeper. So many options! - and the price point is great!
