Explore deep into the hidden wonders beneath the surface as cave expert Dr. Emil Silvestru guides your student on an illuminating and educational journey through the mysterious world of caves. Wish I could return
Review by Lisa
My 8th grader picked this one out because of her interest in caves and geology. After looking through it I wish I could return it (it's been more then 30 days since purchase). The Vocabulary words are a nightmare. After an hour of my husband and I looking for the words in chapter one and two of the archaeology book we only found about half the ones she is supposed to find. The words are either not in the reading, not defined once you do find them or are in the reading she isn't supposed to do. Reading in the text is divided by grade, so she is only supposed to read the text with a yellow and blue background, everything with a white background is for highschool students. Problem is some of the vocabulary words she is supposed to find are in the white background text. This makes no logical sense. They should be separated on her worksheet. Another drawback for us personally is, there seems to be a lot of reading at times. My daughter is not a strong reader and this tires her out when it goes on for 15 pages. The Archeology book is very beautiful and newer looking. The other three, seem a little older. A lot of the pictures and art work look like they were straight out of the late 1990s. I'm not super impressed by appearance alone. I have loved my other Master Books curriculum, I just feel this one needs some updating.
Great set!

My non-loving Science daughter has loved the General Math 1/2 series, especially with the Academy add-on!
Very interesting series
Review by Gina
This series covers a lot of interesting information about our Earth. My son finds that some of the work seems like busy work. I wish the vocabulary words were actually worked in to the text and not on a separate vocabulary page.
Made my son love science again
Review by Brenda
My son dreaded science until we started these books it was a real game changer he enjoyed doing this course. He said "it was more like an adventure than boring school time" These books are well written and very informative. I would highly recommend this course.
Enjoying except for definitions
Review by Stephanie
We use these at our homeschool group and are approximately half way through the GS 2 books. I teach the 7-9 grade science. I have enjoyed teaching out of these books. I like how they are set up and the range of information in them. The only thing I would like to see done differently are the definitions. On the worksheets there are 'Words to Know' sections but in the text it is not always clear what the definition is. I know this is sometimes frustrating for students, especially those who care about knowing the correct information but do not have good detective skills yet and struggle to cifer out the info from the reading. Other than that These are great books especially for this age.
Wonderful Set

We loved General Science 1 set so much, we purchased this level 2 set. These books contain beautiful pictures. They are easy to follow, and scale for various grade levels. I highly recommend this pack.
Excellent for multiple levels of students
Review by Emily
I love that these books can be used for multiple levels of students. The pages have beautiful pictures and are wonderful to set out for kids to grab and read, even if not currently taking this course. I often refer to these books as kids take history courses. The answer keys are in the back of the workbooks, which helps in grading student's work. You can tear out or leave in. I've done both.
Thorough & Exciting Program!
Review by Rebecca
My 12 year old truly enjoyed every book in this course. We loved how everything was tied back to biblical truth and how the authors were not shy to address flaws in some scientific theories such as carbon dating. From parents perspective I appreciate how simply laid out the schedule is. There's no guess work or need for hours of filling in a lesson planner! It is beyond user friendly.
Interesting
Review by Monica
I so wanted to love this course. It may have been because it was our first year stepping away from the God's Design series (which we love), but it wasn't quite up to our expectations. We found it interesting and informative, but there were some parts that seemed a bit over my eighth grader's (and my) head. Still a good set. The books themselves are beautiful. And he did learn a lot, it was just very different than what we had become accustomed to.
