God’s Story reveals the trustworthiness of God’s character and His written Word. From Genesis to Revelation, your family will explore how He communicates to His people, how people fit into His story, and how faithful He is to fulfill His promises. With this Bible study resource, each of your family members will gain a greater understanding of God’s love expressed through Jesus and how their lives are a continuation of His Story.

God’s Story is an ideal resource for family devotions, individual Bible study time, a supplement to Bible curriculum, and an excellent gift. Grandparents enjoy giving God’s Story to impart a legacy of faith to the future generations. Churches offer God’s Story as a special gift in celebration of baby dedications, new families joining the church, baptisms, and more.

"Years ago, nearly every family (Christian or not), had a large illustrated family Bible on their coffee table. It was held in high esteem because it was beautiful and ornate, but also because most families recognized the cultural value of the Bible, even if they did not personally believe or obey it. I can't help but think God's Story is a contemporary version of these older family Bibles. It is beautifully illustrated and gives an overview of the story of God's word in an easy to understand format. This is the kind of resource I will want to display in my living room, for guests to flip through (it would also be wonderful in an office waiting room!). But unlike most coffee table books, God's Story tells the true story of redemption and salvation through the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a great resource to read aloud to your children, or gift to your grandchildren. It is a great resource for both churches and families. I look forward to seeing how God will use this unique resource in the lives of thousands as they come to know Him better."

Wonderful
Review by Yulia
God's Story is a wonderful summary of the Bible. It can be read on its own or used alongside the Language Lessons for a Living Education level 8 on the fourth day of each week. It is a great way for the students to see a wonderful example of the summary of the Bible and to learn from it how to write their own. It is also great for those students who are not used to reading straight from the Bible and need a little help to understand it.
Wonderful Book
Review by Elizabeth
We switched to God's Story for my sons level 3 work and are so happy. The 101 bible stories is nice, but so similar to other books he has worked through. God's story is different enough that he's really engaging with the book. Some days he reads the short section, some times the long. I'm very happy to have added this to our resources!
Beautiful book that is a great companion to LLFLE
Review by Jessica
My son decided to use God’s Story for his day 4 activities in LLFLE 3 this year and it’s been a perfect fit for him. The reading portion is right on his level and it has allowed him to move to more independent work. The illustrations are beautiful and I love having this book in our home.
Love this Audio
Review by Ashley
This is an audiobook that is in sections and broken down into more than one story. For example, the first file is stories 1 through 9, the second story through 18, and so on. When you are using this with Language Lessons Series when you are finished with the lesson, I recommend you write the time down, so you do not have to try to find the spot you left off at. Other than that, it is a great thing to have. The Narrator is Will Stauff. And is clearly understood when listening. You could listen to it on the go as well which is always nice to do.
Beautifully Written with Stunning Illustrations.

God’s Story
This beautiful book of 125 Bible stories, has stunning illustrations. The stories are well written and stay true to scripture. There are also often quotations from scripture and with each story the scripture references are included. They also include some commentary called Threads of Hope which help show how all the stories tie together. While this book should not replace scripture reading, I think it is a wonderful tool for engaging children with scripture and would make a great bedtime reading or morning time read aloud.
Good summary and keeps children engaged
Review by Michael
Our family really enjoys reading God's Story together. All of our children enjoy listening and taking turns reading it aloud to the family. Our little ones like reading the words in "the bubble" as we like to call it. This is a more condensed summary of each Bible account. The older children like reading the main summary of each Bible account. The pictures are nice and the Bible account summaries are informational. We have already recommended this to other families.
Wonderful Family Devotional
Review by Santina
God's Story is a wonderful family devotional for parents to read to multiple ages. My favorite aspects of the book are the detailed stories with scripture references (with a briefer version for busier days or younger kids), BEAUTIFUL illustrations, and the thread of hope (I really appreciate the definitions provided at the end of each thread of hope). This is a perfect way to begin or end the day as a family.
Beautiful Book
Review by Lexie
This book is a beautifully illustrated Bible story book. It goes from Genesis to Revelation retelling Biblical stories. This book uses ESV, NKJV, NIV, and NLT translations. This book is perfect for me to sit down and read to my 4 and 6 year olds to learn Bible stories, and then my children doing Language Lessons for a Living Education can use this book to go along with their studies. The alternative downloads are offered free on the website. I feel that the wording used was very considerate of ensuring that they tell the story actually in the Bible. Some story books, I feel, dumb it down or make light of what occurred, and I felt this book was very accurate and spoke of difficult situations in a very respectful way.
Excellent Family Devotional
Review by Becky V.
I am just in love with God’s Story and how beautifully illustrated it is. This book was intentionally written to guide your family through a thoughtful selection of truths from God’s Word. It is divided into two parts: the first part covering the Old Testament and the second part covering the New Testament. The summaries of the passages selected are short, but thorough explanations. There are also summaries included for younger readers for each devotion as a simpler explanation to keep them engaged too!

My favorite part is the Threads of Hope section that is included throughout that help tie everything together and help you to see the big picture of God’s story.

Not only is it a great resource to use in a family devotional setting, I am excited to see that it can also be used as a homeschooling resource alongside the Language Lessons for a Living Education series, currently levels 3-5.

I think this book is a blessing to anyone who picks it up and also a great gift to pass along to family and friends.
Very Impressed!
Review by Kristy
God's Story is truly inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is beautifully written and the illustrations take you straight to a biblical scene. It takes you through the Old Testament and shows God's redemptive love and mercy on His people. The sections are short but very detailed. It is a great addition to any homeschool morning time or for an evening devotional for families. The littlest family members as well as the biggest can appreciate the story being told and can connect with God through each page. I am very encouraged reading through each page and finding new truths each time.
I highly recommend this book for anyone with children. It would be the perfect gift for a newly homeschooling family, parents that are just starting their family, nieces and nephews, and so much more.
