Just finished it!
Review by CharlotteAK
My 6 year old just finished this set. I thought it was well done and easy to teach. We went through it in 1 semester. I love the Master Books method. I was able to get through the lessons with my 1st grader, while also managing my newborn, toddler, and preschooler. I feel like that says a lot about how life proof this curriculum is! My 6 year old has improved in her reading and writing. She was happy to read The Door of Salvation at the end.
Amazing!

Both of my oldest kids loved Language Lessons level 1! We loved how it continued to build and review over time as we worked on new concepts.
Transition material for my 2nd grade
Review by Tal
My daughter just turned 7, but according to our government school provider, she should be in 2nd level. I don't want to put pressure on her since she is a very beginner reader. So. instead of using 2nd level LA book, I used 1st grade LA book. At first, she was struggling to read, but now, she can read the words in this level very well. She is almost done with the book in just a matter of two semesters, not even a year. Plus, she can manage to read the two books accompanying this book, the Grand Canyon and Not too small at all with very little help. Gentle teaching really suits her.
Excellent

This is a great curriculum.
Building Confidence
Review by Elizabeth
My 1st grader learned to read early and this has been the perfect book to build her confidence. She is catching on quickly. She loves making the dictionary! We are using the alternative schedule to stretch the book over a full year and working on reading comprehension on the off days.
My Child Loves Spelling Thanks To Masterbooks!
Review by MC
We love this curriculum! My daughter loves the spelling lists! We look at the spelling pages (scheduled on Friday) on Monday to get our spelling lists. Practice them through the week in fun ways (look in the back of the book for all the ways to utilize this curriculum)! Then we "test" on Friday with the assigned spelling page. I have been very happy with this curriculum! There is a LOT of information for the parents in the back of the book for ways to make the most out of this curriculum. Be sure to read the info so you can make this curriculum work for any learning style!
This english book gives a solid foundation of nouns, verbs, adjectives, punctuation.
Review by Solid foundation of nouns, verbs, adjectives
The only reason for the 4-star is we didn't care as much for Charlie and Trike. Good story line but it was difficult at this stage for the child to know how to pick spelling words from a book. I did skip over this part of the book after try & fail.
First curriculum to use after mastering dyslexia
Review by Andrea
My daughter has dyslexia and we had to put school on pause and work with a specific program. This year we started LL1 and we have 3 weeks until completing the book. It was an easy transition for her.
Loving it
Review by Shejohn85
So far so good, we’re switching from
TGTB because there was a lot of busy work. I love how straightforward it is and gets to the learning and then we can make it fun with games and supplements.
Excellent
