Excellent
Review by Becky V.
Though this book might be a little hard to get through due to the original language being kept as it was written, about 1850, it is worth the read. The book begins with Andrew Jackson’s birth, occurring in 1767, and takes you on a journey of the highs and lows of his life, ending in 1845. Each chapter includes a quick summary of what is included in that specific chapter - making it very easy to focus on a specific point in history, if desired.

I really enjoyed reading through this and loved that the text was written in a way that brought you into the story. It is interesting, exciting, and fascinating, all while remaining true to history. I really enjoyed the speeches and communications that were given either about Andrew Jackson or by him personally at the end of the book.

This is an excellent biography of Andrew Jackson and a great way to learn about key events in our history and about the life and faith of a great US president and leader.
enjoyed reading

This book is a wonderful addition to the have with any history. It tells you the life of President Andrew Jackson and how he came to be. It covers his life from 1767 birth in South Carolina to his death at the Hermitage in 1845. Since this book was written in the 1800s and its language, it does have some parts that are a little difficult to understand in some parts of the books. But a great reader if you are looking into history biographies. My daughter will be using this as a supplement/add-on for an essay in high school soon.
Interesting as a history book

My 13 year old is enjoying this book a bit more than the Life of Washington. He gives it 4 stars.
