Overview

Many people in Christian circles today no longer believe that the Bible is reliable in its traditional literal and historical sense. They have come to feel that their religious experience must be realized either through some sort of subjective “encounter” with Christ or else through involvement in social action movements. The emphasis is now on “relevance” and “fulfillment,” rather than truth.

The purpose of this book is to survey the “many infallible proofs” of the unique truth and authority of biblical Christianity, together with a refutation of its alleged fallacies and a reconciliation of its alleged discrepancies. Not only is there no mistake or contradiction in the Bible, but also there are innumerable evidences of its divine inspiration and authority.

Thorough and Extensive
Review by LaceeC
This is a revised version of Henry Morris’ original book from 1974. This book is thorough and extensive. It systematically goes through Christianity and the Bible to show not only that there are no mistakes made in the Bible but that it is also divinely written. It offers the reader much insight to help not only defend their faith but to lead others to the faith. This book is not an easy read for many, in my opinion. It is deep and will require you to truly think about the words written. It helps to answer the major objections of Christianity and the alleged contradictions in the Bible. I especially appreciate the chapter on pseudo-Christian cults, I appreciate how well Dr. Morris wrote the chapter and lays out the basics of what is wrong with each and why, but more importantly what you as the reader should look for in false teachings and key doctrines of the Bible that cannot be ignored and should never be changed.

Some of my favorite quotes:
“Our purpose in using evidences is not to win arguments but to win souls” — this thought always hits home for me. We should never argue just to argue or be right about things, our goal should always be to gently persuade and encourage, and ultimately to show others who Jesus is!
With regard to the gospels:
“with all this attention, it is remarkable that two features are notably missing from these biographies, features which are invariably prominent in all other biographies of great men. First, there is not one line describing the human physical appearance of Jesus! Whether He was tall or short, dark or light, heavyset or thin, bearded or clean-shaven, we are not told. The color of His hair or His eyes, the manner of gait, the structure of His physique, the pitch of His voice — all these things, usually of such interest to writers and their readers, are amazingly omitted by the Gospel authors.” — this is just remarkable to me. It further drives home that God, in his infant wisdom, KNEW our world would struggle with these things over and over again.
“Never do they pause to comment on His perfections, to exclaim over the wisdom of His words or to point out how uniquely moral and correct all of His actions were.” The authors factually give an account but never boast or brag about His accomplishments.
Another Great One
Review by J C
I love how Dr. Morris can make deeper theological subjects so approachable. Here, he discusses how God has revealed himself to man so that we are "without excuse." And of course he emphasizes God's great mercy to us as well. Perhaps my favorite part about reading this book was watching Dr. Morris break down how meticulously accurate the Bible is. Now, I already knew this, but to study it in this fashion was fascinating. As is seeing how incomprehensibly wise God is in His treatment of the Bible narrative given to us. The seeming contradictions is a subject that had always interested me. It can really open the door to some good conversations if you're prepared to answer those questions. And answering questions is something that we as Christians need to be prepared to do. In ky opinion, this is definitely a "must read" for adult Christians.
Great Book, except
Review by Yulia
Dr. Henry Morris provides so much wisdom, knowledge and evidence for the truth and relevance of the Bible in his book Many Infallible Proofs: Evidences for the Christian Faith. This book is filled with Biblical and scientific evidence. I enjoyed reading it and learned so much. There is a lot to learn, so this book can be reread and referred to for years to come.

My only concern is that in chapter 21, he briefly somewhat negatively speaks of followers of Pentecostal and Charismatic movement. Even though I agree that not every person who leads people in those denominations is true to the Bible, and some could be called as false prophets as in any denomination, it creates a picture as if God is against healing and prosperity.

Maybe I misunderstood something, but it's how I took it. We should not be lovers of money or obsessed with anything, but God mentions many times in the Bible that He wants to bless us and for our lives to be prosperous, and that Jesus died for our sicknesses on the cross.

Also, Mark 16:17-18 says that certain signs will follow believers and healing is mentioned. I do not think that as a Christian we can ignore it. God is all powerful, and it feels like we limit Him when we do not believe in healing or prosperity. And again I don't mean to be obsessed by them, but not to reject them. We should believe the whole Word of God, not just what is comfortable to us.

This is my understanding and personal opinion. Otherwise, it is a phenomenal book.
A thoughtful and detailed defense of Christianity
Review by Kathleen C
Mr. Morris addresses the relationship between science, history, and Scripture and defends the Bible as a reliable source of truth. He emphasizes the consistency and reliability of the Bible, highlighting how external evidence affirms biblical claims. Topics such as the reliability of Old Testament prophecies, the historical accuracy of the life and resurrection of Jesus, and the nature of creation in the Genesis account are covered in depth. He breaks down complex topics, making them understandable for both general readers and those with a background in science or theology. This book is a solid resource for those seeking to explore the relationship between faith and reason from a Christian perspective.
Clear Truth
Review by Jen
This book is a republished version of Henry Morris’ 1974 publication. There have been 2 more chapters added from the original. If ever there was a question on the truth of Jesus Christ and the Bible, or even Christianity, this book discusses and shows proof from scripture and historical accuracy that what the Bible says is true. In a world where so many things are questioned, the evidence of these truths are clear and concise.
Very Good
Review by HeaTher
Another great work from Dr. Henry Morris published in 1996, this is a fairly hefty book but don’t let that intimidate you. Dr. Morris is a master at making challenging topics accessible for everyone. Morris explores various cults, alleged Bible contradictions, and the evidence for creationism and young earth. He confirms the many ways the Bible has ultimate authority over everything. This is a good read and will equip you to grow in your faith and apologetics.
Rich Apologetics that are not argumentative
Review by Michele
This book is an extensive and thorough reference written unlike any other book I’ve seen on apologetics. The author maintains compassion and understanding for those who do not believe, while firming up the foundations in every area of concern for those who may be called on to defend their faith. It is such an intriguing breakdown of how the Bible confirms and even sets in place scientific concepts.
Valuable insights
Review by Dustie
This book is the revised edition of the one published in 1974 and is still relevant today. Dr. Morris set a framework for helping modern day believers produce answers for our belief in Christ to a skeptical and unbelieving world. He gave advice on sharing the gospel and presenting the facts of the Bible, while considering the heart of each person. He encouraged believers to diligently study and be prepared for when opportunities arise to share one’s faith.
This book is a deep look at the foundations of the Christian faith, as well as a compilation of evidences that demonstrate the truth of the Bible. It is a valuable reference for any believer.
Many Examples of “Infallible Proofs”
Review by Michael
Many Infallible Proofs is a thorough work by Henry Morris. The book goes above and beyond to provide just a portion of the “innumerable evidences that Christianity is uniquely and completely true”. I appreciate the confidence Henry Morris writes with when sharing the truth of God’s Word. Oftentimes, the lies of the enemy seem so convincing, however the truth of God always shines light on the darkness. The truth of God stands the test of time, regardless of how many tactics Satan uses to deceive people. The book covers many topics to explain how the Bible has ultimate authority in life. The book also discusses alleged bible contradictions, which are good to be aware of as many people claim erroneously the Bible is full of them. Of course, being Henry Morris was an early pioneer in the creationist movement, the book shows how evolution is not fact but rather a philosophical belief (with evidence to support). To top it off, the book also discusses cults such as Jehovah Witness and Mormonism as well as the “New Age” movement and astrology – all with the aim to show the fallacies of these religions and beliefs and how they deviate from the truth of God’s Word. I definitely recommend this book to help believers overcome challenges to their faith or doubts the enemy throws at them.
