We started with Master Books Math lessons for A living education in 3rd grade. My daughter wanted to try an online school for 4th because a friend was doing it. We Are happily coming back to Master Books Math Lessons for a Living Education for 5th and the rest of our subjects too. Worked well for us until level 5
Review by Stacey
My daughter has only ever done this math program. It has worked really well for her and she got good scores on her state testing. But when she got to level 5, she started to struggle. She has always done her math 99% independently but she began to struggle and as I was dealing with another child’s health issues, I let her switch to Teaching Textbooks. I’m not saying I like it better, it has just been what worked for us during this season. I have always loved these bath books though and the way God is integrated even into the subject of math!

Math was a lot harder for my ADHD grandson this year....lots of work with fractions! But the way the lessons are laid out and the clear explanations really helped him. There was just the right amount of work each day. {He freaks out of he sees too many problems.} There is enough practice to learn the skill and then enough spiral review to keep the concepts fresh in his mind....without taking away the love of learning. MFLE had been a real blessing. Easy to use and gets the job done well.
Worked great for us!

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily my 5th grader picked up all the concepts this year. It built up his confidence and he has been doing wonderfully, even with new harder concepts like fractions. Very straight forward, we all like that it doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed. Thanks again!
