Gentle approach works well for us
Review by Renee
We have tried other math curriculums and we keep coming back to this one, because it works for us. My daughter learns better with this more gentle approach than with other curriculums! I’m thankful for Master Books!
Some days we like it, some days we don’t…
Review by Eileen
My daughter fluctuates with how much she likes/dislikes this book. I like the gentleness of the concepts. I think the layout for her was the problem- or at least how the mixed reviews came up and she didn’t remember certain concepts. Overall it’s a good book. The practice book is a great tool alongside this.
Great for children with learning difficulties!

We used this with my daughter with ASD and it has been a game changer! We were using a different curriculum and the pages were so busy and colorful that it was hard for her to focus and even see what the problem was that she was supposed to be solving. She was crying every day during math and got extremely frustrated to the point where we couldn’t do math at all. Once we tried Masterbooks it was like night and day! The pages are much simpler and cleaner and they provide ample space for the kids to actually solve the problem and show their work. My daughter has fairly large handwriting for someone her age and she had no issues fitting her work in the space provided! She loves math now, this curriculum really gave her a boost in her confidence. Highly recommend this for kids on the spectrum!
Love it!

My daughter has been using Master Book's Math since 3rd grade after struggling with two other math curricula. Not only have we stuck with Master Books, but my daughter is now excelling in Math instead of struggling! I think it's because it's tailored specifically for children who are homeschooled. Thanks Master Books!

My daughter did really well. Challenging yet rewarding.
Successful and enjoyable Math curriculum
Review by Melissa
My daughter has visual impairment issues and she typically struggles with too many problems on a page. She really does well with the layout of this program. She has always enjoyed the story line and the progression is paced well with plenty of review. My other daughter completed another program for elementary years and she learned basically the same concepts but was miserable most of the time. We're so glad we discovered this Math series!
the best math curriculum!
Review by kari
my son started at level 3 with mlfale and has really done well with this curriculum. i love how each year builds on the last and its spiral bound, reiterating things the kids have already learned. I do have to say as a homeschool mom 5th grade math has been tough, but masterbooks makes it easy and understandable to teach my child. I absolutely love this math program and so does my child, hes already talking about doing level 6 next year!

Love!
Review by Holli
My 10 year old hated math, until this year. He has said numerous times the past 7 weeks that he LOVES school this year thanks to Master Books, even math. I love the short intentional lessons with periodic review of past concepts. Math is no longer dreaded, but instead the first subject to be tackled! Thank you Master Books!!
