What an amazing story that walks you through Ken Hams life and experiences. It’s a testimony to God’s provision and the power of standing firm on biblical truth, stepping into a groundbreaking visual-ministry (like the Creation Museum and Ark Encounters) that so many can partake in.
The story traces Mr. Ham’s journey from humble beginnings in Australia to becoming a global voice for biblical authority and creation apologetics. For my children and me, reading about the many obstacles he faced—and how God opened doors in the face of opposition—was a powerful reminder that standing firm in your convictions matters, especially in a world that often pushes back against biblical truth.
As a homeschooler, I appreciate how this book reinforces the importance of a strong foundation in Scripture. It gave me renewed confidence in why we choose to teach science and history through a biblical worldview. I also loved that it provided insight into the development of the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter—places we’ve visited and now see with even deeper appreciation.

I love how this book starts by showing the faithfulness of Ken Ham’s parents and grandparents, and how he was able to build upon that rich legacy as he began his ministry which grew into the Answers in Genesis ministry with worldwide impact, with which we are familiar today! It has made me take a hard look at the priorities my children are seeing in my life. I often remind them that “only what’s done for Christ will last,” like Ken Ham’s mom reminded her children; but do I live like I believe that? This book is convicting, inspiring, and will leave you rejoicing in the wonderful works of God!
This is a great book for families to read together. I highly recommend it!
I will admit that, at first, the book was a bit hard to get into because of some formatting issues ( the headings are easy to miss but super important for context.) I also was already familiar with some of Ken Ham's early life from some of his other works, so I thought the whole book might be redundant. Thankfully, I was wrong! After the first 2 chapters, I couldn't wait to read about what came next!
I felt like I had a front row seat, watching how God was working to direct Ken and his family, and to orchestrate all of formative details of the ministry of Answers in Genesis, and Ken's influence on Master Books. Both of these ministries have had a life-changing impact on my own family so this book was a huge encouragement and an inspiration to me!
I had to read with a box of tissues nearby! I was overwhelmed with watching how God worked in so many details. He brought world-class attraction designers to help design the Creation Museum and the Ark, and had even been preparing the perfect crew to build the Ark encounter. God also provided the impressive former national headquarters of Toyota in Cincinnati as a space for the offices of AIG and their Answers Academy Christian school. There have been many rumors about AIG that this book helps clear up as well. I loved how the other influential characters also wrote about their perspective on the Miraculous ways God has worked in this Ministry.
Whether you are new to AIG, and curious about their ministry, or if you are a long-time fan, this book will be an encouragement to you to keep pressing on and look for the Tapestry of Grace God is weaving in your own life!
