This interactive workbook can be used as a children’s devotional or Bible curriculum for homeschool families and Christian schools.

    More than Words is a beautiful way to teach children to enjoy studying the Bible. Students will interact with Scripture and learn Biblical principles through hymns, art, poetry, and character studies. Colorful pages, engaging activities, and key truth flash cards will make learning about God fun.

    Each lesson can be done in five to ten minutes a day. This Charlotte Mason inspired workbook offers four lessons per week and can be accomplished in 36 weeks.

    More Than Words is divided into four units:

    • Who we are in God and basic theology of the Roman road
    • What it means to be a Christian
    • How to walk in faith, day-to-day.

    After completing the course, children will have discovered their identity in Christ - one that cannot be taken away or shaken by opinion or culture.

    I think this is a great introduction to important aspects of Christianity. I love the hymn studies, the character traits, the cooywork, just about everything! My kids did not want to color usually, but besides that, it worked well for them to work through pretty much on their own and then we’d talk about it together. It’s a great book for mid elementary kids!

    Both of my kids loved going through this book. We all especially loved the art study pages and my kids LOVED making their own flashcards. This came in very handy throughout the year as we focused on practicing those words in everyday situations (e.g., perseverance, being content, honest, etc.). This is a great book that I highly recommend.

    More of a Devotional than Bible Curriculum

    I looked at previews and read through the summary on the MB page prior to purchasing. This has been a good devotional. It doesn’t take more than 5 minutes or so each day. So it’s not a hefty Bible study like I was wanting. (I should have known from the preview, but didn’t really see it that way until we started using it.) My 6 year old daughter loves the weekly drawing page and the weekly coloring page. The coloring pages definitely have a younger child look to them. My 8 year old son hardly ever does the coloring page. This book has definitely started some good conversations in our homeschool this year. It’s been great for what it is, but I will be looking for something with a little more meat for next school year.

    This curriculum is such a breath of fresh air to my daughter, she absolutely enjoys it since she is the creative type and likes the variety of activities. We do Bible stories separately as a family and she didn’t want to do a full Bible study curriculum yet for the Old Testament yet so this was a perfect alternative for her. It is her favorite subject and we will definitely do Level 2 in the future. Thank you for such a great curriculum!
