This book of adventure is going to help you learn all about social studies. Social studies is about people and places around the world. We will talk about what people eat, where our food comes from, how governments are set up, the symbols on flags from different countries and what they mean, how God teaches us to love the people of the world like He does, and much more. The language of this book is English, but we’ll share some Italian and Chinese words with you too!

Not a great fit for us
Review by Jessica
This wasn’t a great fit for our family but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a fantastic unit! My six year old hates “fluff” work, as we call it. Coloring, word searches, puzzles. He just won’t do it. He considers it all to be busy work- and honestly I agree with him. He’s very much loved all the beautiful photos, learning the geography using his maps, and the very relatable way the text teaches kids about other countries and cultures, and we have learned a lot! We will not be continuing my story next year.
My go to geography/culture book for early elementary
Review by Violet
Wonderful book to take your young learners through the world. Such a great introduction in easy to process lessons. This will be my second time through, I typically use for 1st grade and omit the word finds at the beginning of the year. For the journaling, I act as a scribe for their thoughts.
Good class

This was our first year of homeschooling, and I wasn't sure what to expect. This book had a lot of reading, but also gave my son and me time together. We learned about a lot of countries and cultures. We had fun trying some recipes and discovering different flags. This book was an excellent entry for my second grader to understand a world bigger than himself.
Love This!
Review by Sarah
We recently purchased My Story 2 after having such a great experience with My Story 1, and we are thrilled with our decision! This workbook follows the same fantastic format as the first, which we absolutely loved. It's incredibly easy to use—truly "open and go"—which has been a huge relief after switching over from a different curriculum. The simplicity and organization make it easy for our child to dive right into the lessons without any confusion or frustration.

One of my favorite features is how the pages can be easily torn out, making it simple to work on assignments separately or store them in binders. Plus, the included hole punches are a nice touch, making organizing a breeze.

We’ve found that Master Books really delivers in terms of user-friendly design and engaging content. The layout is clear, and the structure of the lessons flows well, making homeschooling so much smoother. We feel like we’re getting excellent value with this workbook, and the quality of the material has exceeded our expectations.

If you're considering switching to or trying Master Books, I highly recommend this series. It’s been a great experience for our family, and we’re excited to continue using it!
My daughter enjoys it!
Review by KD
She likes the variety of activities, it reinforces what was in the lesson. Coloring the flag is her favorite part as well as the thankful tree.
We liked it

This was a lot for my child at this level. It took us longer to get through, but I feel she did learn a lot.
Wanted to love it - Unfortunately not a good fit for us
Review by MC
I wanted to love My Story 2, but unfortunately it has not been a good fit for us. To be fair, we didn't use this curriculum as intended. We didn't do a lot of the "Quests". We did this more as a read-aloud, but did do the word searches, activities, flag time, my journal, copy work and reviews. My student became board with the repetitive schedule every week and began to dread it. We are about half way through the book. We will continue it as a read-aloud, but I won't require my student to do the word search or color the flag. When more than 1 country was presented at a time, it became confusing. Sometimes even I couldn't really answer Friday's "What did you learn this week?"..... Not a bad curriculum, just not a favorite for our household or our learning style. I probably won't use it again, but I will finish it in our own way. I will say though that we LOVE the Thankful Tree it has us make. We do enjoy that and it has become a favorite part of our homeschool day!

Great Elementary Geography
Review by Ashley
We have used this book twice, once for my older daughter, & again last year for my younger son. They are very different students, but both enjoyed the book when used for 2nd grade. My daughter did find the flags repetitive, but my son loved them. They both loved learning about the other cultures throughout the book.
Okay
