Review by Amy
We loved the pictures in this book! Great introduction to other cultures and languages!
Good intro to history
Review by Lindsay
My middle son enjoyed this a lot!! He loved learning different facts about different places as well as different words/ phrases in different languages. He did find a lot of the journal entries as boring for him but i did have him finish them. Sometimes i just hand him answer me and id write it all out for him.
Daughter Liked It!
Review by Heather
My daughter liked this social studies curriculum. She enjoyed learning about different cultures and their languages. It was a good pace for her in Kindergarten.
Son loved it
Review by Jessie
I used this for kindergarten, along with Simply K, God's Design for Beginners, and math lessons for a living education. At first it was my last favorite to teach because it felt like the most reading, hardest to keep his attention, and the memorization felt like a struggle. After getting into the groove of doing homeschool together he began to really enjoy this and I enjoyed watching him learn from it. He loved the language and Geography. There wasn't anything in this book that conflicted with our beliefs. It is easy to make it work for you. I recommend.
Beautiful Book
Review by Jennifer
My son loves this book, he has learned so much. I keep the cards in the back of the book and just use them as a review once a week. I also use the scripture verses as way to teach him how to look up the verses on his own. Overall great program.
Interesting, but not for us
Review by Elizabeth
I was excited about this for my kindergartener, but she has not loved it. She says she likes it medium. We enjoy the language and geography a lot. She attended preschool last year and a lot of the topics covered she studied last year. I think if she had not so recently done something similar she would be enjoying it more.
Awesome Social Studies Exposure
Review by Nicole
I really enjoy this book. I have my second child going through this book right now. I find the introduction to a variety of topics within the social studies/geography field to be exactly what this age level needs. It keeps things fun and engaging.
Great book!
Review by Averi
My child loved learning about different cultures, and enjoyed telling daddy at the end of school her new language word for the week and what she learned about!
Good with some changes
Review by J. C.
I love the content, and my daughter loves the information she's learning. However, there so much going on in one lesson. On the first day, there a word and concept, then a verse, and new word with a country to color in. The second day is an activity (usually coloring), another section to read, a topic to discuss, and a journal entry. It's all coneco, but rather loosely. For a child with focus issues, that much jumping around just makes it harder to pay attention. I almost put it way, but decided to break it up. Instead of doing two lessons a week, we do five very, very short lessons a week so that we're focusing on less information. It works much better for us now, and my child actually talks about what she learned. Overall, I would recommend it, because it covers some very good things. And don't be afraid to adapt it to your needs.
Boring
Review by Kasi
My 5 year old doesn't understand at all. It feels like for an older child with the lessons.
