Great Resource
Review by Lexie
My family has really enjoyed this Profiles of Valor Audiobook series. My family downloaded the audiobook version and was able to listen to it in the car. We found the voice of the reader made this audiobook an easy listen. We really enjoyed hearing about Samuel Adams passion! Each chapter is introduced with a character quality which is defined, memory verse given, story about a person that gives a surprising amount of detail, and then questions (as well as the answers) at the end of each section. This book series helped to make these people we've read about in books feel more like someone my family can empathize and relate hearing their accounts beyond a history lesson.
An encouraging audiobook on faith and perseverance
Review by Kathleen C
Profiles of Valor Volume 3 has been an encouraging audiobook for our homeschool, showing how God works through ordinary people who trusted Him in difficult circumstances. The stories highlight perseverance and faith under pressure, helping my children see how reliance on the Lord shapes courageous choices.
The engaging narration kept my students listening, and the depth of each profile led naturally to family discussions about trusting God, standing firm in convictions, and honoring Him in every situation. This volume has been a faith strengthening addition to our homeschool and a powerful reminder that true courage comes from a life rooted in Christ.
Engaging audio stories that build faith and character
Review by Kathleen C
Profiles of Valor Volume 1 has been a wonderful audiobook for our homeschool. As a homeschool mom, I love how these engaging, short biographies introduce real people who lived with courage, faith, and integrity. Listening together made history feel personal and inspiring, and it fit easily into our day during read-aloud time or quiet listening.
I especially appreciate how each story points back to God’s faithfulness and encourages meaningful conversations about perseverance, obedience, and trusting the Lord. It’s a great resource for building both historical understanding and Christ-centered character through audio learning.
Fantastic for history on the go
Review by Michelle
Profiles of Valor Volume 1 introduces children to inspiring individuals whose lives reflected courage, faith, and strong moral conviction. The stories are written in an accessible way, making them easy to understand while still conveying meaningful lessons about character and perseverance.

We appreciated the Christ-centered perspective and the focus on how faith influenced real-life decisions. The shorter profiles made it easy to read aloud or assign independently without overwhelming young learners.

This volume is a great starting point for character studies and works well alongside history or devotional time, encouraging thoughtful discussion about living out biblical values. We especially like using audiobooks for this as we often commute to activities.
Quick and concise!
Review by Laura S
We enjoyed listening to these concise biographies of important American figures, some well known but many lesser know characters.

Each chapter began by highlighting a character quality exemplified by the individual and a related Bible verse followed by a specific story from their life. These audiobooks are very quick and compact biographies that share a specific story from the individual’s life and then including their main life achievements and how they impacted America. The end of chapter questions include short answer questions about the story but also more thought provoking questions about the highlighted character quality.
Great audiobook
Review by Andi
This audiobook of volume 1 was fantastic. I love listening to the stories/history along with my children. It was nice to be able to play it in the car while we were running errands. The reader has a great cadence and tone. The stories have such great character qualities to discuss. Each profile is short and not overwhelming. Good discussions have evolved from reading these. The audiobook is a very nice addition to the set making it easier for learning for all.
Action Packed Adventure
Review by Ginger
Listening to these has been a wonderful transition between different school activities in the winter. The 10-15 break has been great for mom, while the children still gain important lessons in faith, character and courage. Letting the kids listen to them while they play as also reinforced the Godly character traits demonstrated by these men of Faith.
Inspiring collection
