Brilliant for covering history while hands-on learning is happening.

Profiles of Valor – Volume 3 focuses on individuals whose faith and determination shaped their actions in difficult circumstances. The stories help children understand that courage is not always loud or dramatic, but often shown through faithfulness and perseverance. Having this in audio version is such a blessing for car rides or when the kids are busy with hands-on projects.

We appreciated how this volume balances historical context with personal reflection, allowing students to connect with the individuals on a deeper level. The clear, concise chapters made it easy to fit into busy homeschool days.

This volume is especially helpful for encouraging discussions about character, obedience, and trusting God even when the outcome is uncertain.
Quick and concise!
Review by Laura
We enjoyed listening to these concise biographies of important American figures, some well known but many lesser know characters.

Each chapter began by highlighting a character quality exemplified by the individual and a related Bible verse followed by a specific story from their life. These audiobooks are very quick and compact biographies that share a specific story from the individual’s life and then including their main life achievements and how they impacted America. The end of chapter questions include short answer questions about the story but also more thought provoking questions about the highlighted character quality.
Great Examples of Courage During the Heartbreaks of War
Review by Charity
I love the convenience of using audiobooks as a means of redeeming the time, whether listening on a headset while doing housework, or listening to together while on the go or during a meal. These stories are a great conversation starter for parents and teens to cast a vision for the character traits that are needed to become worldchangers.

This volume of stories contains vividly written examples of tremendous bravery and sacrifice amid some very difficult times of war and are full of meat to ponder, although the narration could use more expression. As a Mom, I was especially challenged by the story of Martha Washington in this book and how she put aside her own comfort and grief to invest in the lives of others who were suffering. I wish that when I was a teen, I would have had stories like this to build a picture of marriage and family during the hard times as most of what I read at that age was fluffy and idyllic. The account of of Rev. James Caldwell, pictured with the stack of books on the front was also a challenge as he continued to fight and focus on the big picture of freedom, even when it meant sacrificing precious books in the aftermath of losing his wife in a brutal killing.

As you can see from the above, many of these accounts contain heavy topics related to war so please use caution when listening if you have younger students around.
Excellent Listen
Review by Ginger
Our family has enjoyed being able to listen to the Profile series on the go! We still prefer the book form (we just love books), however this has been an excellent addition to our drive times.
Well done
Review by LD
Learn about men and women in American history who will inspire your children to stand for what is right and be brave while doing so.
With discussion questions and character applications, these are great additions to your library.
The narration is well done and perfect for use at home or in the car. They’re short enough that they could work well if you only have a short drive to sports practice, Wednesday night Bible study or a trip to the store etc.
Love this Series
Review by Lexie
My family has really enjoyed this Profiles of Valor Audiobook series. My family downloaded the audiobook version and was able to listen to it in the car. We found the voice of the reader made this audiobook an easy listen. The third volume contained many people we had not even heard of. I love that the author was able to help us see each person as an individual that shaped history with their character. Each chapter is introduced with a character quality which is defined, memory verse given, story about a person that gives a surprising amount of detail, and then questions (as well as the answers) at the end of each section. This book series helped to make these people we've read about in books feel more like someone my family can empathize and relate hearing their accounts beyond a history lesson.
