Remember that you are the very image of God, and that makes all the difference.
Most women don’t consider themselves great. Stuck in an endless routine of cleaning, cooking, and caring for family members, they struggle to find meaning and worth in their daily lives. Exhausted at the end of
another busy, chaotic day, they wonder if they have made any measurable progress, if it even matters, if their work counts. This book talks frankly about real life, ministry failures, and the depressing side of Christian
womanhood, but in a humorous way that makes you want to pour coffee all over it and try again. Whether we feel capable or not, whether we feel spiritual or not, we are already changing lives. This book is for Christian
women in their 20s, 30s, or 40s who may or may not have children, may or may not be tired, and may or may not be addicted to coffee.
Here are a few of the issues Lea Ann addresses in her book:
How do you define success in your "ordinary" life?
What failures have been game changers in the way you see your role as wife, mother, and minister of the gospel.
What do you view as the biggest obstacles to the influence you and other women possess
How would you describe true leadership and lasting influence?
In Rocking Ordinary, Lea Ann Garfias comes alongside you like a true friend and shows you how an ordinary life can be lived with extraordinary influence. A gifted teacher and storyteller, she meets you exactly where you are — in the everyday, messy, stressful, kids screaming, laundry piling, everyday life, and encourages you, loves you, and roots for you as you begin rocking your ordinary.

Not what I thought it was
Review byLauren
I thought this was a book on doing ordinary things, but that these ordinary things matter. But that is not at all what it is.
The author talks about the need to make friends, and then gives example on how easy it is to do so. Then she talks about recovering from abuse, and how to make sure you are safe while you recover. Then she talks about how to know if you are being bullied.
It is such a random conglomeration of things that just aren't ordinary. I feel like the title is very misleading.

Quotes New Age leaders
Review byElizabeth
Right in the introduction, there was a quote from Marianne Williamson, quoted positively as something we ought to aspire to in our own lives. Marianne Williamson, if you're unsure of who she is, is a New Age teacher who teaches Christ Consciousness. Cannot recommend a book that leads of with new age thoughts.

Sign for Satan??
Review byJennifer
Not trying to be nitpicky, I guess this is influenced by the fact that my 6 yr old is deaf, but the hand on the cover is clearly signing "Satan". There is no way I can read this in front of my kids and not offend their consciences. My kindergarten age daughter won't understand why I'm reading a book decorated with the word "Satan". It's always a good idea to check with your local deaf community if you're thinking about putting some type of hand sign on something you're creating. Just saying. I'm sure the concepts inside the book are great.
