Overview

Darwin's On the Origin of the Species was originally released in 1859, and by 1872, the sixth and last edition was published, becoming the defining text for evolutionists. This controversial work has become the foundation of modern textbooks for scientific studies in origins, though Darwin himself expressed deep doubts about his own speculations and suppositions.

Take an insightful look at Darwin's work and its inaccuracies from a fresh and logical perspective. You will discover the often ignored reasoning behind his own abandonment of some of the core mechanisms of evolution later in his life, though they remain unchallenged pillars of unquestioning science today. This informative and easy-to-read study boldly declares the powerful truth that only biblical creation can explain.

Valuable read
Review by Yulia
By reading this book, I’ve concluded that Darwin was a scam. He didn’t have any real proof of his theory and only gained his acknowledgments due to other scientists and his social supporters. He never truly presented any real proof; instead, he would twist the argument to make his opposition to try to disproof him. What a shame that people still believe this nonsense about natural selection and teach this as science in schools.
Enjoyed it

This book has 6 chapters. It took me a bit to read the whole thing. It was written in a period of 11 years and it jumps around a lot. So this book make you think of multiple things when it jumps around and bake to the other topics. I wouldn’t say that this book is easy to read due to all the jumping around. But if you do decide to read it is makes you think about things that you normally wouldn’t thing about. Did Darwin really turn is back on all his theories. And if he did that would mean he started over many times. No one really knows, but ultimately it is a good book just a book that is all over the place.
Thought-provoking book on Darwin and his theories
Review by Heather
Secrets of the Sixth Edition was a very interesting book, but I had to read it in very small portions. Although the book claims to be an easy-to-read study, I personally had to take time to digest all of the information being presented in the book. Because many of the quotes are directly from Darwin's On the Origin of the Species, it's just not a simple, easy-to-read book. In my opinion, Darwin's writings are not easy to read. If they were, many people would realize that evolution as they understand it may not be as cut and dried as they thought.

Hedtke states at the beginning of the book that the essays contained in the book were written over a period of 11 years, so there will be some duplicating of content and jumping around at times throughout the book. There were times that this made it a little difficult to follow.

Overall, I did find the book to be an thought-provoking read which made me want to dig a little deeper on my own into the whole subject. Did Darwin truly turn his back on his own theories? I'm not completely sure, but the arguments presented in this book definitely make a good case for it.

I received a copy of this book from Master Books/New Leaf Publishing to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. A positive review is not required nor guaranteed. All opinions are my own.
