My daughter enjoys what she is reading, and is also challenged. I feel 8th grade should be quite a "step up" in work load..to prepare for high school. This was just that!
A Must Have
Review by Nikki
While the Teacher's Guide for World's Story 3 is not necessary, I wouldn't want to be without it! It truly makes this curriculum open and go!

The Teacher's Guide includes: materials lists, a daily schedule, lesson outlines and objectives, narration prompts, questions, activities. maps, projects...the list goes on!

A wonderful balance is struck between creativity and critical thinking. Each activity is fun and engaging - and with the myriad of activities and projects, there is truly something for every learner.
A Tremendous Asset to Accompany The World's Story 3 Student Text
Review by HSKelly
I'm a planner and thrive on organization, but when you are planning multiple subjects at the same time, it can sometimes turn into a time-consuming process. I love that The World's Story 3 Teacher's Guide provides a suggested daily schedule for each semester. This is something that I've seen with other Master Books curriculum that we currently own, and it is a tremendously helpful feature. Other features include material lists, outlines of lesson objectives, and even narration prompts and responses. These items can be found at the beginning of each chapter. Of course, the included activities are what really make this a wonderful compliment to the student text. All of the activities are fun and engaging, and include things such as map work, timeline exercises, and even writing out character sketches. There are also plenty of additional projects that allow students to really dig deeper into the concepts that they're learning for different points in history. The Teacher's Guide really helps complete the entire World's Story 3 program. I definitely recommend it if you have a child who is working through the student text. It really is a fantastic resource to compliment the student lessons and definitely helps cut down on planning time.
A Fabulous Addition to A Wonderful Program

Help your child advance their understanding of the material contained within The World's Story 3 by including The Teacher Guide with your purchase.

The Teacher's Guide includes weekly lesson plans, student activity sheets, lesson reviews, and answers. Also included are the chapter objectives, a list of materials needed for each chapter, and answers for the narration questions. Track new vocabulary words, important people introduced in each chapter, and go on a map adventure to incorporate geography lessons.

This is a must-have if you want your child to grasp as much as possible from The World's Story 3.
needed for scheduling and testing!
Review by nicole
Besides what is stated, included are 4 review sections that can be used for test grades, extra credit research ideas, like unit study of abandoned places, worldview check-ups, and of course, answer keys for all the quizzes and tests (because you may be smarter than a 5th grader, but time is more valuable, and being able to correct these assignments quickly, means you can move on to more fun family time, or additional learning)! My daughter loves the time line assignments the best, as it helps her to add the new events she is learning into a natural sequence. These are also very helpful to have for studying for the for reviews!

In this volume the assignments include more map work, which makes sense, as the student is really learning about history in a world look versus one country at a time look. I've found that the map assignments really help her to understand how far reaching colonialism was. As a parent I'm also happy to see how there are questions that require students to think, before writing an answer, allowing them to make sure they understand the bigger pictures. And any curriculum that wants kids to use critical thinking skills is ALWAYS a big hit with me! Once again I will be turning some of them into oral answers, as my dyslexic child does better with those. While this course is aimed at middle school, grades 6-8, Angela is finishing up a detailed schedule/plan, on using all 3 books in this series for high schoolers, for a world history credit!
The Most Thorough History Curriculum on the Market
Review by Cristina, A Homeschool Mom
We cannot say enough wonderful things about this curriculum. We loved that the Bible is the ultimate guide in using this curriculum, leading students back to God continually. We're incredibly excited that we are given a full, accurate account of the world's history and a better understanding of God's plan for His people.

We're quite pleased with the amount, and diversity, of activities included in the curriculum. The World's Story far exceeds anything we could have anticipated. Families can expect to explore art studies, artifacts study, map work, copy work, narration, sketching, hands-on activities, timelines, "Dig Deeper" selections which include additional research prompts, and so much more!

And the best part? Everything is included in the set. No more buying of additional quiz/test books or answer keys. This set is all we needed to start our adventure in history.
Full and Rich History
Review by Karen
This is an amazing addition to the World’s Story series. The artwork is amazing, plus all the maps and side notes. It is written in an easy to read narrative. It starts off with the exploration age and colonization. It covers the heartbreaking nature of the slave trade and its effect on the world. It covers various events and many wars like the French Revolution, the World Wars and war in the Middle East. This is a pretty hefty history course. Also, the dark parts of history are not sugar coated. I am having my 8th grade son do this course but I probably would not have my (young)6th grader jump in. My kids are on the path of finishing this series by the end of 8th grade. The TG has sections for mapwork and written narrations. It also has added sections that are not in the previous books in the series. One is the Abandoned places. Both my son and I found this really interesting. Another new section is the “Creative Output” where the student will do things like character studies. My favorite section is the “Worldview Checkup”. There is also an optional timeline project and digging deeper projects. This is such a full and rich curriculum with lots of extras and optional things that makes it easy to tailor it to each student. I watched a video by the author and she suggested that this course would be best suited for 8th grade and up.
